Dear Brompton riders,

we are excited to announce that the traditional Brompton Czech and Slovak Championship is back! This time it will take place in the picturesque city of Jihlava. As it was founded in the 13^th century there are many historical sights to be seen, but still, due to the family-friendly infrastructure, it offers great opportunities for various sports and free time activities. What is more, this day will not be only about the Brompton Championship as it is all part of Festival Cyklospeciality dedicated to children and city cycling on the occasion of European Mobility Week.

Therefore, accept our invitation and come together with the Czech and Slovak Brompton community to experience the fun, and joy this event brings along.

Race Register

The latest term for online registration is Sunday 10^th September 2023 at midnight. The registration is valid only after the registration fee has been paid in full.

When registered online by the 10^th of September 2023, the competitor will receive their own race number with a timing chip, some Brompton 2023 memorabilia, and a voucher.

The competitor can also register for the race personally on the day of the race on Saturday, September 16, 2023. In this case, the competitor will only receive a race number including a chip for timing.

The registration fee must be paid immediately after getting registered. The registration is valid only after the registration fee has been paid in full. Those who have not completed their registration by paying the registration fee in full will be removed from the starting list at the end of the registration on Sunday, September 10, 2023. In case of force majeure or proven illness, the registration fee can be refunded upon request. All competitors are required to collect their starting numbers and present themselves in person at the race office in accordance with the race schedule - see race schedule. One hour before the start, the registration, presence, and race list will be closed definitively.

Those who do not own a Brompton folding bike and would like to take part in the race can book a Brompton demo bike strictly for the time 12.00 pm to 3.00 pm. It is not possible to book the demo bike for the whole day! Reservation can be made here.

All competitors start and compete at their own risk and responsibility. The organizer bears no responsibility for material or health damage caused before the race, during training, or during and after the race. All competitors their agreement with this claim by making their registration for the competition.

Basic Rules

• All participants in the Brompton World Championship event must wear a suit jacket, collared shirt, and tie. Shorts, skirts, and three-quarter-length trousers may be worn if preferred, though sports attire is not permitted. There are no restrictions regarding footwear. Participants in every event must wear a helmet.
• Participants must be 16 years or over (or 12 and over if accompanied by a responsible adult), riding a Brompton, and in general good health.

Course: The course is located inside the sports complex Český mlýn in Jihlava and leads on paved asphalt paths. The race will take 10 rounds on this 1 km circuit with a total length of 10 km.

Parking: Parking is situated in the surrounding area. Please follow the organizer's instructions.

Directions: Access by car to the sports complex Český mlýn is only possible via Mostecká Street, see the map. There is also a cycle path that runs along the river Jihlava.
